You're Welcome!

You will thank me for this.

You may even cry.

I come from a superb lineage of wonderful, awesome cooks. My grandmothers and mother all enjoyed cooking and baking and have shared so many of their favorite recipes with me over the years. I consider these treasures!

After spending the first several years of our marriage refining and honing my cooking skills (that's a nice way of saying that I pretty much stunk as a cook), I have now come into my own. I really enjoy reading cookbooks, watching cooking shows, and testing recipes. The result is a pretty nice collection of some tried and true recipes that will knock your socks off.

One of my biggest hit recipes: White Chocolate Pound Cake

Trust me. This one looks like a dud. No icing. No layers or filling. But it is stinkin' awesome!

You will need:

1 cute sous chef

and

*1 box of yellow cake mix
*1 small box of white chocolate instant pudding (I have only been able to find this at Walmart)
*1/2 cup sugar
*3/4 cup canola oil (or vegetable oil)
*3/4 cup water
*4 eggs
*8 ounces sour cream
*6 ounces white chocolate chips
*1 teaspoon of vanilla

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine dry ingredients. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into greased bundt pan. Bake for an hour. After it cools, cut a large slice and sit in the corner by yourself.

You'll thank me.

She did.

And they sure did.

I hope your family had a nice Labor Day. Our friends came to visit for the long weekend. The weather was perfect and kept the 6 kids entertained outside.

Thanks a lot! Now I'll be dissatisfied all day until I have a piece of that cake! I laughed out loud when I read about sitting in the corner with a big piece! I'm feelin' it.

I have make a very similar cake for my friends when they have babies or surgeries. I use regular choc chips and vanilla pudding but the rest is the same and it is so yummy!!!
