Six

Six years ago today, I was given the most invaluable gift ~ Motherhood

"The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new."

Robert Emmet Byrne, III was born around 6:30 in the evening, weighing 7 pounds and 13 ounces. We welcomed his bright blue eyes into our lives, and we would never be the same.

Sweet Robbie,

You taught me the value of motherhood.

You taught me that selflessness isn't too big of a sacrifice.

You taught me to enjoy every minute of the day, even the hard ones.

You taught me that words are not adequate to describe a mother's love.

Happy Birthday.

I was thinking of you and specifically of Robbie yesterday. I even told a friend here about him. I am sure your heart aches so deeply thinking of what he would be like at 6 here on Earth. I am sure he is joyfully celebrating in heaven and keeping watch over his newest siblings too:)

Hugs,
Kim

I have been thinking about Robbie all day. I wonder if he would have read the entire encyclopedia by age 6, since he was the smartest child I have ever known. My heart longs to have him back in the happiest place on earth...your house...then I remember there's an even better place...hard to imagine. He had the best life and MOST love of any almost-2-yr-old I have ever known...enough to last a very special (but too short) lifetime. Love yall.
